Top 5 Things to do After Your Boudoir Shoot

Bridal Boudoir Photographer San Diego

You're all dolled up...what's next?

Well, don't worry - just because the shoot is over doesn't mean the fun has to be. I promise at the end of the session you'll be feeling more confident and beautiful than ever. Now that I think about it...you pretty much have a responsibility to go out and shine your warm glow all over everyone else.  Actually, just kidding. The only responsibility you have is to continue to radical self care journey you began when you decided to treat yourself to a boudoir session. So whether living your best life includes a night out on the town, or a cozy evening by the fire at home (which is my favorite thing to do, I'm such a homebody)- here are the top five activities my clients say they're going to be doing when they leave the studio.

What are your plans for your after session glow? Leave me some ideas in the comments.

5. A Bubble Bath

Mmm...this actually sounds good right now. When does a hot bath NOT sound like the best thing? And honestly, photoshoots are so fun, but they're also a lot of work. Holding your face still, maintaining a pose - a hot bath will be perfect for your muscles. What do you like in your bath? My favorite scent for relaxation is lavender, I freeze a cloth and dab lavender oil on it. It goes over my eyes and I just soak and breathe in deeply. It's a wonderful way to reset.

4. A Night Out

Grab your friends and go out for the evening! Your hair is done, your makeup is perfection, and you've already got your heels with you in the car. If you plan enough in advance maybe you can schedule your shoot on the night of an event you're interested in attending. That way you can make the most of your glammed up look and make a night of it.

3. A Nice Meal

Have you noticed how so much of my advice involves food? Lol, and why not? Who doesn't love to eat? It's good for you, and helps boost feel good hormones in the brain. There are so many great places near the studio to enjoy a nice meal at after your session. Do you love seafood? I do. Check out Alexander's on 30th. It's delicious.

2. Naptime

A nice, long nap is the perfect way to end a photoshoot. Cozying up in a warm blanket and drifting off is one great way of holding on to the relaxation and pampering you just experienced during your shoot. Naps are often overlooked when we think of self care, right? Naps are for kids. They're not! And the best part of this nap is that you can plan it. Think about it- you're already coming for a session, it will be on your calendar for weeks. Schedule a babysitter, or a daycare you trust to watch the kids after your session and creep back to a quiet house. Sleep for a few hours and rejuvenate yourself before continuing with the hustle and bustle of your evening.

1. Netflix and Chill

Oh hush, you were thinking about it. Why not? You're already feeling confident and sexy. Get your partner(s) together and use that energy.
